Finally, after months of development we are proud to release the first version of The Ultimate Comment Scraper.

I’ve been receiving a ton of e-mail regarding the software after releasing the YouTube video showing the beta demonstration.

If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch it here: (note the video below doesn’t show the latest “name scraper” feature)

Here’s a snapshot of the software user interface:

Since the video, a new and powerful feature has been added to the software which allows you to scrape the names or “anchor text” from the comment field of blogs.

This feature was added to help users build auto approve blogs a lot faster. By scraping the names field of heavily commented blogs, you can then take those names and use them as keywords in Scrapebox.

Using other Scrapebox users names or “anchor text” in the Scrapebox harvester allows us to find the other blogs users have previously commented on with a live link. Doing it this way allows us to find thousands of unmoderated blogs for us to comment on quick and easy.

The “names scraper” function is just an added bonus for Scrapebox users. The primary function of the software is to find thousands of niche targeted comments with the click of a button.

Having intelligent and well-written comments can really help increase your success rate.

For example, if I’m commenting on blogs in the dog training niche using the typical, “Hey great blog! I’ve bookmarked it and will be sharing it with friends” will not get as good of results as if you use a keyword rich niche targeted comment.

Here are a few examples of comments I got using the keywords “dog training” and “dog food” in Ultimate Comment Scraper when scraping from Yahoo Questions. (It only took 7 seconds to find 200 comments)

Example 1: I’m trying to buy a good dog training book so I can train my dog at home. There are so many I don’t know which ones would be best to get. So if you’ve ever used a dog training book, let me know what you think about it. Thanks

Example 2: I foster strays and am interested in training them as service dogs. I would be interested in therapy, guide dog training, service dog training, or anything else along those lines. Does anyone know any resources?

As you can see those comments are not only keyword rich but are also on topic and engaging to the blog owners and readers.

Not only can Ultimate Comment Scraper find on topic and niche targeted comments but it can also do it at blazing speeds. Using only 5 keywords I was able to scrape 3651 comments in only 44 seconds!

This post is getting quite long and I’m sure will be pretty hard to read in blog format so I’m gonna go ahead and list the features.

  • Scrapes niche targeted comments based on your keywords. Scrape sources are Youtube, Twitter, Yahoo Questions and Answers.
  • Scrapes comments from various blog platforms such as WordPress, Blogengine, B2evolution, Drupal, and Movable type.
  • Scrapes the name or “anchor text” from the comment fields of blogs. Same blog platforms supported as above.
  • Has various filters to get rid of spammy and unwanted comments such as comments with links or comments with less than 3 words, etc.
  • Blacklist feature allows you to skip over comments that have certain words you blacklist. Great for filtering out comments with adult material or drugs.
  • Full Proxy Support – Private proxies, shared proxies and IP authenticated proxies.
  • Comments are saved in Scrapebox ready format.
  • Extremely fast multi threading
  • Free updates

As an added BONUS I’ll be throwing in my list of 70 pre-spun generic comments.( $17 Value)  You can read about them here: Pre-Spun Comment List

New Bonus included – 26 Comments with tokens! ($17 value) You can read about them here: 26 comments with tokens.

I’ve decided to let my blog readers get the software before anyone else. When the software is released on the forums and official website it will be substantially more then the price here. I know there have been a lot of people patiently waiting for this software to be released, so instead of making them wait until the official website is up, I figured I’d release it to my blog readers early and at a discounted price.

there would be nice feature global blacklist (for example banning scrapebox comments, because I have seen that it crawled some of them). I have taken a look at first my leeched comments and there was some non identified chars and some are crawled with dates. Anything else needs deeper testing. ;)

        Will review more later.

          Hey,

Thanks for the quick review and feedback. I’m a little confused on what you mean by not crawling scrapebox comments? I’ll talk to my developer and see if we can get the unidentified characters and dates removed from scraping during the next update. Can I ask what sources you were scraping from when it happened? If you look next to the comment you should be able to see which source the comment came from. I find the most relevant comments when I scrape from Yahoo Questions using general keywords. Your feedback is very much appreciate and only helps us improve the software for future releases. Also if you have any ideas on features you’d like to see added to the softare, feel free to share. Thanks again

    Hey
Didn’t get the software yet,but i will sonn.

    From the video and picture:

What i would like to see is the ability to change the word count for ignoring the comments. At the moment there is hardcoded 3. I would like to be able to change it the way i want. Maybe some dropdown or input field….

    thanks :)

That’s a great suggestion. I’ll talk with the developer and see if we can get it put in on the next update.

    Hi
    Thanks :)
    Another question:
Can you go with exact keywords?
    Example:
I can go and type keyword dog, right?
But what if i would like particular comments with words “dog food” in that exact order?
In that case i would get a comments like:

blah blah blah dog food blah blah blah
    :)

    • Admin
      April 28, 2011 | 5:22 am

You get a bit of mixed results but definitely a lot of the keywords will be in order. For example I typed dog food in and scraped comments from Yahoo Questions and these were some examples:

1)I have a small dog named Boris. I have been feeding him well, but I’ve heard on the news that there are “acidental” poisens in some of the dog food brands. Can someone give me a list so i know what not to feed him?.

2)I am pretty satisfied with commercial dog food and I have no problem sticking with it, but I would just like to know how to make nutritional homemade dog food. My dogs are a golden retriever, beagle, and dachshund if that information is needed. I would like advice also, like what supplements to put in the food, and the right portions, and a professional website would be the best. I don’t really want just homemade dog food that isn’t any better than commercial dog food. Please help out. Thanks..

3)My dog loves to eat people food. If I would let him he would only eat people food instead of dog food?

There are literally hundreds of comments like this but I hope you get an idea of what kind of comments it can scrape.

    Hi there,

    I misunderstood the purpose but still a good tool to have .. actually I was looking for a plugin / softaware that could do these things ;

1- Tell me number of comments on a page or any specific url.
2- scrape the “names / title” that has been entered in those comments.

if those two things coudl be added it would make this much much more powerful software ..

Could you guy work on that update ????

    Thanks

    • Admin
      April 28, 2011 | 4:13 pm

      Amir,

The software already scrapes the names or “anchor text” from comments. All you have to do is load your list of blogs and check the “scrape names” under sources settings.

I’ll talk to the developer to see if we can get the other feature added that you want.

      Talk soon

Hey, what did you use to put the social side tabs on your blog? Is it a plugin?

    • Admin
      April 28, 2011 | 10:38 pm

See if you want your spam comments to pass moderation you need to write it like Areeb did. See how he asked about my social side tabs plug in? You think he really didn’t know what that was? Pfft … sneaky sneaky. I’ll let this comment go through. =)

Haha I figured Areeb would be a little too busy to be commenting on my blog promoting Senuke X. It was also strange he would be blog commenting when he could just use SEnuke X to promote it. Anyways, yes it’s a free WP plug in called Social Slider. Enjoy

After reading your blog for a bit and commenting on other posts, I saw this one. It has both this great piece of software and the 70 spun generic comment list!

    This seems like an awesome deal to me. So I am thinking of buying. Would like to know some more if you don’t mind;

    1. are updates free for live like scrapebox, even the “major” updates?
    2. do you have a guide for this software or a guide that has a “best practices in combination with SB?”
    3. it is still not clear to me if you harvest comments like exact match as in “hosting plans” if it is indead treated it like one keyword or if it is returning results for the word hosting and for the word plans. If so, there will be a very large amount of unrelated comments that will be untargeted.
    3. you said that “Using other Scrapebox users names or “anchor text” in the Scrapebox harvester allows us to find the other blogs users have previously commented on with a live link. Doing it this way allows us to find thousands of unmoderated blogs for us to comment on quick and easy.” But isn’t it much more accurate to find blogs that are spammed already, find the outbound links on those, trim those to root, do a site: search for each of the blogs found and then do a backlink-check for the pages found? I know they won’t all be auto approve, but I don’t see a solution in your approach either… Because there is a name generator in SB and so almost anybody will be using those names? And if names are used, then surely there will also be real people using those names? Or do you only use those comments which have a keyword as their anchor and not a name?

Foregive me for the noobish questions, but I’m really just starting in all of this. I would like to buy, but also need answers to my questions (please also check my comments on other posts today) and I hope you are willing to help me out with my questions by answering on my mail.. (Unless you think of course the questions could be relevant to other users also?)

    • Admin
      April 29, 2011 | 8:52 pm

1)Yes all major updates will be completely free.
2)Right now there is only a brief walk through guide for the software but I plan on making a more detailed guide in the future which customers will receive for free.
3)I made a sample of comments just for you. I typed in “hosting plans” without quotes into the software, then selected Yahoo Questions as the source and here is what came out. Open this file up in Scrapebox and use the test comment button to see what they look like. Download here:http://www.scrapeboxhelp.com/hosting%20plans.zip
4)Yes there is a name generator in SB so you will be picking up names and anchor text as well but I seem to have good results so far. You also just gave me an idea for a future update.

If you have any ideas for updates, feel free to share. This is only the first release of the software and we expect many more to come.

    1. Great!
    2. Also Great!
    3. Thanks for the textfile. Skimmed through it and it seems that it’s pretty darn targeted. Do you spin those comments with TBS or SC before using them when posting or do you just load them up?
    4. If I have any more idea’s on improvements, sure I will let you know. Can you share the idea I gave you for a future upgrade?

If I buy, could you please email me the exact steps you take to identify the other blogs users have previously commented on? If so, I will buy tomorrow when I wake up. It’s 1.30 in the morning and am very tired.

Am looking forward to your answers!

    • Admin
      April 30, 2011 | 5:57 pm

      Mark,

I don’t usually spin the comments I get from the software mainly because it’s so easy to get 1,000′s of targeted comments. Spinning them would be a good idea if you have the time and will only make them more unique. The idea you gave me for the future update was to add more scraping features, like being able to scrape the URL’s from the comment field, etc. I want this tool to make it easier for people to find auto approve blogs so any suggestions or feedback from customers are always considered.

I have to run to lunch with a friend of mine so I can’t really write a detailed guide right now but what I do is very basic. I scrape the anchor text from blogs then I merge the scraped anchor text with this footprint: “name” AND “*mail” AND “Leave a *” AND “Comment” AND “* Comment” AND “%KW%” (that’s one of my favorite footprints … shhh..) =)

Then I comment and check for live links right after. That’s pretty basic and I’m sure there are better ways to do it as I’m a bit rusty and haven’t had too much time lately to use SB due to juggling different projects. Like I said, if you have an idea for a feature that you think will make finding auto approve blogs easier, we’ll definitely consider adding it. Also, we should have a few updates coming out next week.

I’ve gotta run now and I probably won’t be able to get back to this until Sunday or at the latest Monday. I’ll talk to you then. Have a good weekend.

@marck Lol, yeah your’e absolutely right! Sure, I will be cleaning up the scraped comments, but it is going to save so much time! Even when I have to come up with 50 comments of my own from spying on comment pages, this will take much less time. And in the same amount of time, you can have hundreds, even thousands if you like! The more the merrier!

Hi there – just purchased the software and put it through some paces. Impressed with the useability and the speed, its really fast. I bought on the basis of extracting the ‘name’ field (i.e. anchor text) and somehow saving this data to file to later manipulate. Unless I am missing something, the ‘name’ is just mashed in with the comment? Is there not a way to isolate this particular field with a denominator as it is scraped? I was hoping to end up with a text file containing loads of anchor texts/names…..would be really good to have a quick how to around the you tube api as well cos I looked at the site and its abit of a nightmare even finding the api pages….great app though and can see some real potential with it. I will email you some ‘other’ suggestions which I think you may find useful for another update. Cheers.

      May 5, 2011 | 7:32 pm

Make sure you don’t have anything checked under the harvester section when scraping anchor text from blogs. All you need to select is the “scrape names” under source settings. This will pull only the anchor text which you will be able to export and use as keywords.

    May 6, 2011 | 4:17 pm

    Hi !
    Just one thing.
If i get things straight, this software allows me to get a list of comments in a scrapebox ready format ok.
But how will scrapebox fast poster place posts on twitter, youtube and yahoo Q&A ? you need an account and have to be logged to do that don’t you ?

    • Admin
      May 6, 2011 | 4:44 pm

I think you have misunderstood what the purpose of the software is for. This is used to find keyword rich, niche targeted comments from Youtube, Twitter, Yahoo Q & A as well as rip anchor text and comments from your own list of blogs.

You can then use the comments in Scrapebox to get better approval rates. If you’re commenting on niche specific blogs and have comments geared towards those blogs, you will have a better chance of getting your comment approved.

There will also be more updates and features coming soon.

  16. linda perlotti
    May 7, 2011 | 7:52 am

Ok i see the purpose now.
One last question : can you select the kind of engine you wanna scrape ? (like in scrapebox google.de for exemple)
would be useful to get comments in foreign langages.

    • Admin
      May 7, 2011 | 6:16 pm

As of right now it only supports English but I will definitely talk to the developer about updating it to support other languages.

    May 12, 2011 | 11:05 am

This is a great piece of software.

I’ve already bought it and got 257 comments with the keywords in the comments which have been hyperlinked.

Now i did this by using a special add-on feature for excel which I got from one of the excel forums for free.

However, it still takes about 20 minutes or more for me to do this.

I would love it if this piece of software could do it for me automatically.

E.g. The comments have been found and saved. There is a button which opens up another window which allows the user to type in a keyword and in another text area the url which the keyword is to link to.

The software then takes the comments which only have that keyword in the actual comment itself and hyperlinks that word to your chosen url. I then have the option to save and extract those comments in another textfile.

This would save the time and effort doing this in excel.

I know one type of blog doesn’t allow hyperlinks in the comments (is it BE?) but most of my posts would be fine.

You see, the problem at the moment is that when you type in “dog training” and get 2000 comments, say around 60 have the words “dog training” in the actual comment itself and say 1000 have the word “dog” in it.

By the above method we could filter out all the comments that don’t have “dog” in them, thereby filtering out non-relevant comments such as “You look gorgeous” and “fantastic video” etc.

We can also hyper link the 60 comments which include “dog training” and just include them in are comment posting on scrapebox.

Could you please do this for me and everyone else?

    Al

You know that’s probably one of the best suggestions I’ve heard yet. This won’t be in our first update which will be coming up very soon but I’ll try to get it in the one after that. Our newest update has been turning the application into a portable app so it runs without having to install. Also we have added self updating into the application so you won’t have to reinstall or overwrite the application every time there’s a new version. We also have some minor bug fixes, etc.

I love the idea and I think its very doable. Great suggestion!

I just got Scrapebox and I’m having a blast. I have got two lists ready to do the comment poster, but this is where I am stuck. Someone said there was a list out there of some safe phrases to use. I would like to incorporate some of my own, but it would really help to have a starter list. Do you know where I can get a list like this to get me started?

    • Admin

By safe phrases to use are you referring to comments or anchor text? I’m assuming the comments? That’s pretty much what the ultimate comment scraper tool was made for but if you aren’t ready to get more software yet I do have a list of 70 prespun comments that are safe to use here: 70 prespun comments

    June 8, 2011 | 12:30 pm

I bought it. I tested it. I used it with 1 keyword – and a very generic one at that. I added some blogs I’d scraped, I didn’t tick twitter as I can never read them (I’m over 50 what can I say). I ended up with 650 comments of which I deleted 500 LOL. The comments from the blogs I added were hopeless garbage (opps) and the YouTube was pretty awful too.

This might give the impression I’m not happy – not true. I got 136 really relevant comments – many of them were nice and long (up to 200 words)and chatty too. I’ve run them through The Best Spinner and I have a great spun file to add to my comment file for scrapebox. Beats the hell out of writing them yourself! Or using rubbish ‘Nice site’ comments.

If this doesn’t sky rocket my approval rate I’d be very surprised.

    • Admin
      June 8, 2011 | 4:28 pm

Thanks for the kind words Glenis! I usually get the best results by scraping from Yahoo Questions. Twitter and Youtube are mainly there for people who just want a mass amount of comments that don’t care for relevance as much. Some people are commenting on 800k-1,000,000 blogs at a time and just want a mass load of comments. I prefer relevant comments myself.

If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email or post here. I hope to have some new updates very soon!

Hmmm – I use Squid Proxies. they don’t use a username and password. I assign my IP in the Squid system. I’m wondering if this is causing a problem because when I attempt a 2nd run with a different keyword I get 0 returned. The keyword was Health so I’m confident Yahoo answers would have a couple of comments. I’m also wondering if this was the problem last night with only getting 135 comments (not that I’m complaining!)
    thanks Glenis

I believe, statistically, that less than 1% of comments are approved. So out of 1 million comments only 10,000 will go live. The chance to improve the odds by doing a few simple things at the beginning such as good relevant comments and a quick spruce up in The Best Spinner. 1 good long comment can easily become 50 unique comments – 100 comments = 5,000. Now it might sound like much with 1 mill blasts – but I bet you’ll get more google credibility with relevancy and a much higher approval rate – you win twice for very little extra work. But that’s just my opinion.

Do you have your Yahoo API key put in?

Yes. I seems I need to clear my cache to get any more comments – I use CCleaner. This makes me think the proxies aren’t working for 2 reasons
    1. A proxy doesn’t run from my pc – or does it?
    2. I never get more than 150 comments. With 10 proxies and a broad subject like ‘health’ I should easily get 1,000 from Yahoo.

The proxy format is 94.60.xxx.xxx:8800 – no username or password.

      June 10, 2011 | 3:31 am

Yahoo only allows 100 results per keyword (due to their api) as far as I know. I use squidproxies and also promote squidproxies so that definitely shouldn’t be an issue.

      June 10, 2011 | 4:24 am

I also recommend turning on all the filters and setting, “Ignore comments with less than” to 10.

This will make sure it ignores any comments that have less than 10 words. You will get longer, more “chatty” comments that way. :)

    Admin,

Sorry, it was me who can’t get version 1.1 started.

I got the original version started ok and also 1.0.

I then left it for a month and when I went back I couldn’t get 1.0 started. You sent me 1.1, but the same thing is occurring.

I think it is looping when it is sending a request to your server. After a while it says, “please check your internet connection”. My connection is fine. I’ve tried it switching off windows firewall, comodo firewall, the router’s firewall, but it still says this error message.

Do you have any idea what it could be?

Did my previous comment get through?

  34. Al
    June 29, 2011 | 4:53 pm

    Obviously not.

I wish to add another suggestion on to the previous one.

    1. Make sure the url and keyword text boxes can accommodate more than one url/keyword per line. Some people use scrapebox to backlink web 2.0s etc. Let the software randomly assign the urls to the keyword(s) in the comments.

    2. Very important. When adding the link to the keyword don’t forget to add the title tag, e.g. a href=”hwwp://whatever.com” title=”dog training”>dog training

I started using Scrapebox just a couple of days ago. Will this software enhance its capabilities? BTW, any special discount for BHW members like as in Scrapebox? :-o

    • Admin
      June 30, 2011 | 11:24 pm

The software is made to increase your approval rates by having more niche targeted comments. The price you see on this blog is the discounted version. When the software goes for sale on the forums next week it will be around $37. I’m letting my blog readers and people on my list get it at the discounted price before it hits the forums.

I just bought this software about 24 hours ago and am extremely excited with its capabilities. I used to manually copy paste comments and it was a pain to go through volumes of text to scrub out the comments.

With this software, your just have to click one button and forget about it. The results are presented to you in the neatest way possible and the scraper gives you awesome, usable results that you can put to use for your SEO campaigns without any delay. It removes bad comments and also gives you the option to leave out comments with links in them. What more, you can pick up the name used for the comment as well. Everything is thought off.

The best comment scraper out there…wait – the only comment scraper out there :) – Cheers – Rams

    Hi,
I bought your software two days ago and it works pretty good! I´m absolutely satisfied.. One suggestion for future updates: it would be much smarter if the name scraper could scrape the link instead of the anchortext. Then you could use scrapebox with link: opperator. So you can get much better results.

    cheers

    • Admin

What exactly to do you mean? If I add a forum poster to the software it will require a lot more time and development.

The main purpose of the software is to pull comments. If there are certain sources you would like comments pulled from, feel free to share them or if there are certain features you would like added, I’d be glad to add them within reason.

Luckily it’s only $4.97. I’ll give you a nice auto approve list if you want as a bonus since I originally offered a bonus.

First of all, great blog. I hope you don’t mind but I think I will be using your site as guide to how I should build any review sites I do in the future.:) Not in the same niche though – Anyway great job..

Now I’m just wondering if your software would be a good fit for GSA Search Engine Ranker? I have scrapebox but I’m not all too excited about its commenting program. The GSA software looks way better.

Also, even though the comments are keyword targeted will they actually make sense on most sites or is it a scatter gun approach to see what sticks. Obviously it’s going to hit the bulleye on a lot of blogs etc.

What’s your experience with it and for commenting would you use this for scrapebox or GSA Search Engine Ranker?

I am a bit confused, sorry. I am about to buy Scrapebox so haven’t used that either yet.

Does this software just HARVEST and produce a list of URLs where the user can go and post manually, from fairly decent locations, or is this just a bot that auto posts?

The reason I ask is because i would never scatter gun posts to blogs, twitter or anywhere else in order to get links to my money site (my first, i am a newb, blush!)
I am however looking for places to get EITHER:

    1. scatter gun links to one of my feeder sites and ONLY THOSE link to my money site

    or

    2. I would, VERY carefully, post manual one way links to my money site, but only if i was manually typing the post to look relevant and useful, and hopefully not raise any flags with wither moderators or google bots.

    Thanks

    • Admin
      June 10, 2012 | 3:11 pm

With Scrapebox you have to manually scrape then you can load the sites and find out which ones scrapebox is capable of posting to automatically. You can also do manual commenting but to me its not worth it since it takes too much time for little link value.

    Hi there!

    This looks truly interesting.
It’s too bad it only supports English. I have been looking all over the web for att comment scraping tool that supports Swedish.
It’s a shame that there are English-only tools out there.
